The suspects were said to be using Oshodi as their hideout This, according to a source, is inimical to the efforts of the Lagos States government to rid the area especially, dark spots of hoodlums.
The re-grouping of the hoodlums may have compelled the Ilupeju Police Division to swing into action to crack down on the suspects, including two ladies. They were allegedly rounded up in their hideout, near a publishing company on the Agege Motor Road, Oshodi.
Recovered from them were, bags of weeds suspected to be cannabis. Police said they had been monitoring the activities of the suspects for more than two months, before they swung into action.
Daily Sun gathered that the suspects had been transferred to the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation for prosecution.
However, Ilupeju police Division has warned criminals in the area to quit or be ready to meet their Waterloo.
Also, members of the Okada Riders Association, operating in the area have been compelled to wear uniforms (overall) with security numbers to differentiate them from armed robbers.
