They were said to have been killed in the residence of Ukeke’s father in law located at 39, Ore Oghene Street, in Benin at about 8pm.
Informed sources told Daily Sun that the two artistes were reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen shortly after retuning from a location in Iguomo community near Benin, where they had gone to shoot a film soon to be released.

An eyewitness account said Ukeke was shot twice at a close range while Erejiro who had earlier escaped into a bathroom was also shot at a close range in his hideout .
Their host, Chief Olaye was not spared by the suspected assassins who reportedly shot him in the mouth before making away with handsets of the victim in a Toyota Camry car they had come with.
Chief Olaye is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Benin, the remains of the deceased artistes have been deposited at the mortuary by the police.
Following the gruesome murder of the two entertainers, their fans took to the streets of Benin to protest the killing.
At the scene of the incident yesterday, bloodstains were noticed, even as the house was deserted.
Some sympathizers were seen in clusters, discussing the incident in hushed tones amidst heavy presence of policemen, who had arrived to forestall breakdown of law and order.
