The offence was committed at Agboola Adebayo Street, Ajamgbadi, Lagos.
According to the prosecution, the accused person, on September 6, 2009, unlawfully and fraudulently obtained N 155,000, from one Augustine Osaele.
He allegedly collected the money under the pretence of securing an apartment for the victim, knowing same to be false.
The prosecution said the alleged offence contravened the provisions of section 419 paragraph (A) of the Criminal Code, Cap 17, Vol. II Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria. 2004.
The prosecution also alleged that the defendant stole the money, property of Osaele The offence, accord¬ing to the prosecution, is punishable under section 390 of the Criminal code Cap 17, Vol. II Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2004.
According to the third count charge, lluobe allegedly issued a purported Intercontinental Bank cheque for the sum of N 155,000, to the victim, knowing the said cheque be a dud document.
The alleged offence is punishable under section 438, .paragraph (A) of the Criminal Code Cap. 1 7. Vol. II Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria. 2004.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the three-charge
The court presided over by Mr. P.A Adekomaiya. A senior Magistrate 11, granted the accused person bail in the sum of N50.000. He must produce two sureties who will pay the same amount of money . The sureties are also expected to be employed in a limited liability company
