THERE was panic in Zaria, Kaduna State yesterday as fire gutted some parts of the Nasara Baptist Church along Gaskiya Road in the city.

Our correspondent gathered that part of the church which served as the pastors residence was gutted by fire early yesterday, raising suspicion in some quarters of an attack.

Two persons have been arraigned before a Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Ojo, for breach of peace.

The alleged offence was committed at No. 74 Bamidele Street, Afromedia, Ajangbadi, Lagos.

The defendants, Pauline Okonkwo, 43, and Chibueze Rebelu, 35, are facing a four-count charge. They, however, pleaded not guilty when the charge was read out.
